ING Direct
It's great when good neighbours become good friends. That's what's happened between The Good Neighbours' Club and ING Direct, at their Yonge and Shuter banking centre.
The young and spirited staff at ING Direct have made it part of their corporate mission to be a community hub, offering virtual office space to small businesses and non-profits. The Good Neighbours' Club has already held a managment meeting in one of their second-floor spaces, but will also have their January, 2012 Board of Directors' meeting at ING.
ING volunteers assisted with our Day of the Homeless, have done a mid-day tour of duty with us, and arranged for a portion of the proceeds from a display from Silver Snail Comics to be donated to The Good Neighbours Club, over $1600 in total. Director of Operations, Lauro Monteiro, has already ordered a commercial component for our kitchen (before we would spend it on anything else).
ING also put a smile on the faces of members and staff with their storefront window display featuring Captain America... over the Good Neighbours' Club logo!
