Colgate-Palmolive
Volunteers from Colgate-Palmolive joined us this past fall and worked hard in our kitchen and in our clothing room. They were so enthusiastic that one of the team members was in stitches--literally.
Having cut himself in the kitchen, instead of pointing a (bloodied) finger, he apologized for our inconvenience when staff members trailed him to the emergency room at St. Michael's hospital, a couple of blocks away.
As if to make sure we knew he meant it, days later contributions of soap and toothpaste--commodities always in short supply--began to roll in, and haven't stopped since.
Good human beings and great corporate citizens seem to be (pardon the pun) cut from the same cloth.
